QuinStar
Technology, Inc. has designed and produced a commercial 5 watt CW power source at 60 GHz.
The assembly consists of a biased tuned GUNN oscillator driving an IMPATT ILO driver and
an 8 way power divider, 8 way power combiner with eight 1 watt IMPATT power modules.

The
IMPATT modules operate under constant temperature with heater control. Integrated power
supplies and power bus for rugged power supply connections are mounted on a large heat
sink.
All components were designed and manufactured at QuinStar Technology’s plant in
Southern California.
QuinStar can custom produce power sources at other millimeter-wave frequencies and power
